New Website, New Focus

Welcome to the new and improved Brummund Law Office! After 8 and a half years of dabbling in many areas of law, we’ve decided to focus exclusively on our largest client group: landlords and property managers.

Now that we’ve focused, we’ve created a new website packed with resources for landlords. In particular, we’d like to to point to two new features. First, there is this weekly EvictionsFAQ blog, which aims to help address questions landlords ask me every day. Second, we are debuting a page with free forms that we’ve develop for landlords. There are just a few forms to start, but we will be adding more over time.

Why Focus on Representing Landlords?

Since I filed my first eviction 5 years ago, landlord-tenant law has exploded. The Milwaukee County Courthouse was flooded with evictions even back then. But now, with all the tumult the pandemic has brought, my landlord clients need more help than ever.

During the pandemic, I saw how the court system delayed cases for month and years at a time. I watched as zoom wait times climbed into the hours, and watched as courts would rule against those who couldn’t afford to wait on hold all afternoon.

With a new program providing Milwaukee tenants with free eviction defense lawyers, tenants in Milwaukee are now much better able to avoid eviction through procedural delays and technicality defenses. Landlords who aren’t represented face greater difficulties than ever.

To meet this need, we’ve decided to focus on helping landlords adjust to the new reality. Now, more than ever in our post-pandemic world, you need an experienced eviction law firm to get your case through the crowded court system.

What’s different?

We’re doing our best to further integrate our law firm into the digital world. Landlords and property managers can now use this form on our website to request a free phone consult. We will soon be moving to electronic payments and electronically signed fee agreements to improve our client experience.

How do you hire us?

If you’re a landlord or property manager you can contact us via our web form or by calling 414-988-2365, if there are no legal conflicts, we are happy to discuss your situation and next steps with you over the phone, free of charge. If you’d like to hire us to help take one of those steps, we’re here for you. Our general prices are available online here, but if you have a number of eviction cases you want to send us at once discounted pricing is available.

What’s next?

Landlord Tenant law has been changing faster than it has in years. To help you keep up, we’re committed to vastly increasing our blogging. Please feel free to leave comment on this post if there is a particular topic you’d like us to cover. We will also continue to add free forms to the forms section of our website.

As we all navigate an uncertain future we look forward to continuing help you with your legal needs.

All the best,

Walt
